About Lincoln-Martí Schools
Lincoln-Martí Schools is a bilingual English–Spanish network of daycare centers and private schools founded in Miami’s Little Havana in 1968. For over 50 years it has grown to 36 campuses across Miami-Dade and Kissimmee, serving children from 6 months old through 12th grade, with free VPK, Early Head Start, special education, and tuition-free charter schools.

Who we are
What is Lincoln-Martí Schools?
Lincoln-Martí Schools is a Miami-based, bilingual education network founded in 1968 by Demetrio Pérez. It runs 32 early-learning centers for children from 6 months to age 5 and 16 campuses with kindergarten through 12th grade, and a separate group of tuition-free Lincoln-Martí Charter Schools. Classes are taught in English and Spanish at every level.

What does “educating the whole child” mean at Lincoln-Martí?
Lincoln-Martí educates each child academically and socially. Our classrooms give children materials and experiences that develop their intelligence along with their physical and emotional abilities. Students are respected as individuals and learn to respect others in a loving, friendly environment — because love is fundamental to the development of the whole child.

Our founders’ inspiration
Why is it called Lincoln-Martí?
The schools are named after Abraham Lincoln and José Martí — two leaders who believed education and freedom go together. Their names reflect the two cultures our students grow up in, and our goal of preparing model citizens and the leaders of tomorrow.
The 16th President of the United States, who led the nation through the Civil War and the end of slavery.
Cuban poet, teacher, journalist, and national hero of Cuba’s struggle for independence, who lived and wrote for years in the United States.

What programs does Lincoln-Martí offer?
Lincoln-Martí offers bilingual daycare from 6 months, free VPK for 4-year-olds, free Early Head Start for eligible families, private school from kindergarten through 12th grade, special education (ESE), and tuition-free charter schools. Families can use VPK, School Readiness, and Step Up For Students scholarships.
